Coffee Machine
If you enjoy coffee, then you don't need an excuse to visit our library's coffee machine. The machine is located in the creative corner of the library, where you can relax, socialize, and take a break from everything.
Creative Corner
Bissell Libray acknowledges the need to socialize, relax, and escape from the responsibilities and work that's been waiting for you in the corner. Thus, we offer our Social Ζone, or else known as Creative Corner.
Among the activities and crafts we offer are:
Origami
We can lend you colored papers, and you can choose from a variety of origami step-by-step guides to make. Take your time and enjoy the process of doing a simple task that not only helps you relax but also improves your focus, which has been trumped so much by multitasking.
Drawing
The same procedure applies to this activity too. For anyone who likes to doodle and draw, the library can provide you with colors and paper. A simple task such as doodling has been highlighted many times as an efficient way to get rid of stress. We also offer you a variety of mandala drawings you can color!
Take a break from studying... to read
If you would still like to enjoy a good book while relaxing in the creative corner, you can take a look at our well-being collection that is located next to the coffee machine. Give yourself a chance to soothe the body and the mind and recharge.
Piano
In our library, you have access to the piano, which is located in the creative corner. Piano playing hours are 9:30–10:30 and 19:00–20:00. If you would like to spend your break musically, then you can play the piano after sending a formal request to the library's email (bissell@act.edu). Just make sure you have a few notes before entertaining us, or request notes at the Library Hub.
